2020 World Championship Stick Horse Show & Rodeo CANCELLED

The Stick Horse Show committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the August 1, 2020 event due to ongoing concerns about the spread of COVID-19.

The decision was made believing this is the responsible public health decision for our community, our guests, and our volunteers.

We hope you will join us next year. Stayed tuned! Until then, stay safe and Happy Trails!

Time to throw a rope on your horse, clip his mane and warm up for the annual World Championship Stick Horse Show & Rodeo. The popular event returns tomorrow, Saturday, August 5th in Lake City Town Park. Cowboys and cowgirls of all ages are welcome to register and compete in their competitive age groups or the senior recreation group

Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. followed by the Junior Trail Class for 2-4 year old riders at 8:30. At 9:00 Showmanship and Wester Pleasure classes begin for all ages. The Grand Entry will be performed by all riders at 10:30 followed by Bucking Horse, Pole Bending, Calf Roping, Barrel Racing, Farrier Race and English Jumping.

The Lake City/ Hinsdale County Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to saddle up and ride! Call (970) 944-2527 for more information.
