Jacksonville drivers: The westbound Hart Expressway off-ramp to Atlantic Boulevard closes 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19 through 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.

Detour via exit at University Boulevard, continue to Beach Boulevard and take San Mateo Avenue to access Atlantic Boulevard.

FDOT District 2 crews are continuing their work this week along I-10 in Walton County, removing storm debris and supporting ongoing recovery efforts following Hurricane Isaias. 💪

🚧 Nightly Detour and Road Closure Scheduled Oct. 15-21 on Park Avenue at Kingsley Avenue 🚧

As part of a resurfacing project, Park Avenue southbound between Kingsley Avenue (State Road 224) and Milwaukee Avenue is scheduled to close nightly from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15 to Wednesday, Oct. 21, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. During these times, Stowe Avenue will close to traffic from Park Avenue to Smith Street.

Drivers on Park Avenue will follow posted detour signs and turn west on Kinglsey Avenue, south on Smith Street, and east on Milwaukee Avenue to access Park Avenue.

Tomorrow, we're hosting a hybrid public meeting to discuss a proposed crosswalk on Lane Avenue (State Road 103) south of Lucente Drive.

An in-person meeting is set for Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the FDOT Training Building, 2198 Edison Ave., Jacksonville. The open house runs 4:30 to 6 p.m., followed by a presentation and public comment at 6 p.m.

A virtual meeting will follow Wednesday, Oct. 14, with an open house from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and a presentation at 5:30 p.m. Register at nflroads.com/virtualmeetings.

As approaches, here's a quick reminder for anyone hitting the road: If a traffic signal is out, treat the intersection as a four-way stop.

Come to a complete stop, yield to vehicles that arrived before you, and proceed with caution. Power outages can happen before, during and after a storm, so stay alert and be patient.

A few extra seconds at an intersection can help keep everyone safe.
