We were proud to donate several sections of retired fire hose to Appalachian Bear Rescue.

Earlier this year, thanks to a grant awarded through the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office, our department was able to replace aging and outdated fire hose that had served our community for many years. While this hose had reached the end of its useful life for firefighting operations, we are excited that it will now serve a new purpose helping care for and rehabilitate black bears at Appalachian Bear Rescue.

We are grateful for the support of the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office and the opportunities grant funding provides to improve firefighter safety while also benefiting organizations that make a difference in our region.

Thank you to Appalachian Bear Rescue for the incredible work you do caring for Tennessee’s wildlife. We are honored that this retired equipment can continue serving a meaningful purpose.

Passing these exams takes many hours of classroom instruction, hands-on training, and personal study time outside of regular department activities. We are proud of the dedication and commitment each of these members has shown to better themselves for our department and community.

Congratulations to all of you on this outstanding accomplishment, and thank you for your continued hard work and service to the Medford community! 🎉

🎓 Congratulations to Junior Firefighter Hunter Seiber on graduating the 8th grade! 🎓

Hunter is one of only a couple of junior firefighters in our department, and we could not be more proud of him. At such a young age, he continues to show an incredible work ethic, dedication, and willingness to serve both our department and our community.

It’s not every day you see someone his age stepping up the way he does, and his commitment does not go unnoticed. We are excited to see what the future holds for him and look forward to watching him continue to grow both in school and in the fire service.

Congratulations, Hunter! We are proud to have you as part of the Medford Volunteer Fire Department family! 🚒

Please help us congratulate four of our members for successfully completing their Firefighter Level 1 Live Burn training earlier this month! 👨‍🚒🔥 This is the group photo they took with their entire class!

This post is long overdue, but we want to recognize and thank them for their commitment and dedication to both our department and the community we proudly serve.

This training consisted of 16 hours of hands-on live fire instruction and required traveling over three hours each way to attend. Their willingness to give up their time to better themselves and sharpen their skills speaks volumes about the type of firefighters they are becoming.

Training like this helps ensure our department is better prepared to protect the citizens of the Medford community when emergencies happen.

We are proud of each of you and appreciate the hard work, sacrifice, and dedication you continue to show. Congratulations, and thank you for representing Medford Volunteer Fire Department so well! 🚒👏

We’re so proud to call Firefighter Halee Stover one of our own. Not only is she a certified firefighter who volunteers at our department in her short free time, but she’s also a RN taking care of people that come into the ER. We want to celebrate her and all of her colleagues for taking care of all of us!
