Oceanwave Dr will be closed today from Blue Spruce Lumber yard to Rene's Garage. This closure is expected to last until around 4pm, Friday, August 21.

The portion of Ocean Wave Drive between Breakfast Hangout & Euphoria & Rene's Garage is currently closed for sewer repairs. Please use Forest Drive as a detour during these repairs.

Community Metal Junk Cleanup Weekend - Part 2
OPEN TO ALL LAKE CITY & HINSDALE COUNTY PROPERTY OWNERS!
Saturday August 29th, 2026- 9:00am to 3:30pm
Sunday August 30th, 2026 - 9:00am to 12:00pm
Location: The Town Owned Empty Lots North of The Medical Center on Henson Street

All property owners including businesses in Lake City and Hinsdale County are welcome to dispose of junk containing metal, free of charge. A list of accepted items is in the flyer below.

On Saturday August 29th, 2026 only, volunteers will come pickup your metal junk as far north as Riverside Estates and as far South as Wades Addition but you MUST submit a Community Junk Cleanup Assistance Application BEFORE Saturday August 29th, 2026 to get on the list.

We only have so many volunteers, and still need a few more, so the distance that they will travel to pick up has been limited to the area stated above.

No fridges or refridgerators will be accepted if the refrigerant has not been removed prior to drop off or pick up. Call County Commissioner Greg Levine at (949)456-1228 asap to ask him to remove the refrigerant BEFORE Saturday August 29th, 2026.
