Lake City Education Foundation

Enrich the lifelong learning experience of past, present, and future students of MN ISD 813. A great education needs a strong foundation!

Providing annual grants for projects through managing an endowment, facilitating endowed scholarships, and building community partnerships. The mission of the Foundation is to enrich the learning experience of PreK – 12th graders of Independent School District 813, by providing funding that would not otherwise be available. The

Foundation provides funding for current school-year grant requests and places a percentage of its resources in an endowment to ensure opportunities for future generations of Lake City’s youth. Lake City Education Foundation funds, in response to teacher requests, have provided for educational enrichments such as global positioning system units for natural resources classes, accelerated math computer materials, and field trips to the Minnesota Science Museum, the Sheldon Theatre, and Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Camp. As a community, with the Foundation, we can make a tremendous difference in the lives and future of our children.
