We are planning to hold a meeting in the next 2 weeks to provide basic information about the NWS and how it's not just a cattle problem.

Please try and educate yourself with reputable websites and not just on Facebook posts. I have read so much wrong information in posts that it is alarming people don't know more and are spreading misinformation. Look to educational websites, the USDA.GOV website and like below, our own Ag Department site..FDACS.

UPDATE: Following the detection of the New World Screwworm in South Texas, I’ve issued Emergency Rule 5CER26-6, which places heightened restrictions on the importation of warm-blooded animals into Florida from designated infested zones and high-risk areas.

Scholarships are available for select 2026 Columbia County 4-H Day Camps, thanks to the generous support of:

Scholarships are:
✔️ Need-based
✔️ First-come, first-served
✔️ Limited based on available funding

📅 Scholarship award amounts and availability will be shared by May 20.

We encourage families to apply early! Youth will have the opportunity to share why they want to attend camp, while parents/guardians can explain their financial need for assistance.
