Criminals target seniors because:
Many seniors are trusting and polite
Seniors often have savings, retirement accounts, or home equity
Scammers believe seniors may be less familiar with technology
Criminals exploit fear, loneliness, urgency, and confusion
Anyone can become a victim. These criminals are professionals.
Do not give any information over the phone.
