The Middle St Croix Valley to Phalen-Keller Regional Trail will be an east-west multi-use, paved trail. The search area includes the communities of Bayport, Baytown Township, West Lakeland Township, Lake Elmo, Oakdale, Landfall, Maplewood and St Paul. Once fully developed, the trail will connect users to regional destinations including the Central Greenway and Middle St Croix Valley Regional Trails, Lake Elmo Park Reserve, and Phalen and Keller Regional Parks (Ramsey County).

Join us for a public meeting to provide early input on potential destinations, route options, and other priorities. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with trail experts and ask questions about the trail's development and future plans. This week, the main bathrooms at the Swim Pond at Lake Elmo Park Reserve will be closed due to repairs needed at the swim pond filtration. Portable restrooms are available, along with the bathrooms at the playground nearby. Bathrooms may remain closed for the week.

You might notice staff in bright vests chatting with visitors in the park and on trails this summer. They’re part of the 2026 Regional Parks & Trails Visitor Study. Led by the Metropolitan Council in partnership with Wilder Research, this study helps improve parks and trails across the Twin Cities region.

Food trucks wanted! Food trucks will have the chance to vend at Lake Elmo Park Reserve’s Swim Pond and at all other county parks in designated areas (except Square Lake Park) for just $25 per day. Learn more about the requirements to vend and to apply for a special use permit by visiting WashingtonCountyMN.gov/Food-Truck-Permits. Please note, the concession stand at the Swim Pond will not operate this year.
