Today is Tuesday September 1st, 2026.

With midterm elections around the corner (just 64 days!!!) you will be seeing a LOT more political signs going up in peoples yards and along roadsides.

We would like to take this time to say that the Board of Elections is largely responsible for 3 things:
1) Being a resource to voters
2) Being a resource for candidates
3) Conducting bipartisan elections and certifying local results

We do not assume responsibility for political signs. This is jurisdictionally left to each Town, Village, and City to create and enforce their own rules. For instance, in the City of Glens Falls a permit is required and the deposit is returned upon collection of the signs post election. Check with your Town Clerk to see if there are any restrictions in your town!

We as a Board are not an enforcement agency, so if your signs are being tampered with, moved, or stolen-or if someone has placed a sign on your property without permission-we encourage you to resolve the dispute civilly. If absolutely necessary, the Sheriffs office is a resource as well.

This year has been a year for growth and little details here at the Warren County Board of Elections!

None of it would be possible without the cooperation and partnership of our fellow county departments and agencies.

Special shout out to Warren County Department of Public Works and the Buildings and Grounds crew for all their assistance this year! Not only were they able to mount a display board for us outside the entrance to the Early Voting site at the Municipal Center campus, but they have also been able to create and affix this sign to it so all can see! In addition, they have helped repair delivery carts and assisted us in our delivery and pick up duties from poll sites.

We are blessed to be working with such great partners. Thank you for all your help!
