Tucked away in Kidder Township, Lake Harmony provides residents and visitors with natural beauty, and a wide range of amenities to enjoy year round. The Lake Harmony Rescue Squad and Ambulance Corp have been in the Pocono Mountains of Carbon County, PA since 1971. We operate two Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances, primarily for 911 responses in our first due coverage area of Kidder Township. Our
units are staffed by full-time paid Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We service an area of approximately 80 square miles in three different counties. Our primary response area is in Carbon County, PA along with our mutual aid areas in Monroe, and Luzerne counties. Our EMT's are held to a high standard, and are trained and certified in:
General scene, patient assessment, and emergency care
Basic Life support and First Aid (BLS)
Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Oxygen (O2) administration
Automated external defibrillator (AED) administration
Complex immobilization procedures
Airway management
Administration of certain medications (Oral Glucose, Epinephrine(Epipen), Nebulizers and inhalers (breathing treatments), Naloxone (Narcan))
Lifepak cardiac monitor administration
