Sometimes supporting independence looks like helping our members experience the things they’ve always wanted to do! ❤️

A couple of our members recently packed their bags and headed to Las Vegas for an unforgettable getaway! From dressing up and enjoying fancy dinners to experiencing a Vegas show, exploring the city, socializing, and simply having FUN, this trip was all about making memories and checking a few things off the bucket list! 🎭🎲🍽️✨

Experiences like these are about so much more than a vacation. They’re opportunities to support freedom of choice, independence, socialization, and new experiences—all while enjoying quality time with their Residential Coordinator along the way. 💙

At New Horizons, we love supporting our members in pursuing experiences that are meaningful to them and living life to the fullest!

Vegas was definitely one for the books! 🎰🎉✈️

🎨🪨 ROCKIN’ SOME CREATIVITY! 🪨🎨

Today our members turned ordinary rocks into incredible works of art! 🌈✨ Rock painting is always a favorite arts and crafts activity, and it’s easy to see why!

From choosing the perfect colors to creating their own unique designs, everyone had the chance to let their creativity shine. ❤️ We love activities like this that encourage imagination, self-expression, and, most importantly, having FUN!

Every rock was different, every design had personality, and the finished creations were absolutely amazing! 🎨👏 We love seeing where our members’ creativity takes them!

🎠 A FUN MORNING AT THE ADAPTIVE CAROUSEL! 💙

What a great way to start the day! We are so thankful to have inclusive and accessible playground equipment right here in our Lake Havasu community. Features like the adaptive carousel give people of all abilities the opportunity to join in the fun, experience something together, and simply enjoy being outside with friends.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this important addition to Rotary Community Park possible! 💙🎠 Having accessible spaces in our community means so much to our members and helps make Lake Havasu a place where everyone can play, participate, and belong.

🧩🎨 BAILEY DOES IT ONCE AGAIN! 🎨🧩

A HUGE thank you to Bailey from the Mohave County Library - Lake Havasu City Branch for once again sparking our members’ imaginations with another awesome craft! ❤️

Today, our members got to design and illustrate their very own puzzles! How cool is it to turn your own artwork into something you can take apart, put back together, and enjoy again and again?! Each puzzle was completely unique and gave our members a fun way to show off their creativity and personality.

Needless to say, this activity was a HUGE HIT! 🧩✨

Today we’re showcasing Sherrie, our very own Puzzle Extraordinaire! When there’s a puzzle on the table, you can bet Sherrie is ready to take on the challenge! 💪🧩

Whether she’s searching for that one perfect piece, working through a tricky section, or putting the finishing touches on another masterpiece, Sherrie brings patience, focus, and determination to every puzzle she takes on. And of course, there’s nothing better than that feeling when the last piece finally clicks into place! 🎉
