Lake Jackson EMS would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing community partners, local businesses, and residents for helping make EMS Week such an incredible success yet again!

While EMS Week is a time for us to show appreciation for our dedicated crews, we also see it as a time to connect with our community in ways beyond emergencies. From teaching poison and toxin awareness in local schools through the Mr. Yuk program, to spending some time playing bingo with residents at Sodalis Senior Living and Carriage Inn, these moments let us build partnerships and show ourselves in a different light.

Throughout the week, our crews experienced an overwhelming amount of support, appreciation, and generosity. We are especially grateful to our many supporters who helped celebrate and encourage our crews throughout the week, including H-E-B , Smiles Beyond Dentistry , Lake Jackson Parks & Recreation , Raising Cane's , The Wilderness Golf Course , Tropical Smoothie Cafe , Rise & Grind Coffee, Altus Emergency Center Lake Jackson , UTMB Health Angleton Danbury Campus , Urban Well Med Spa + Wellness, Houston Zoo, Topgolf Webster, Wayside Pub, Chick-fil-A, St. Luke’s Health, Central EMS, Brazosport EMT Program, Snooze Cafe, Skeeters Shooting Range and so many others who donated treats, or simply took the time to show appreciation.

Thank you for recognizing the hard work and dedication of EMS professionals and for helping us celebrate EMS Week in such a meaningful way. Together, we continue building a stronger, safer, and healthier community.

Meet the Lake Jackson EMS team!

We are truly honored to have such an incredible group of EMS professionals serving our community day in and day out. During EMS Week, we do our best to show our appreciation for these men and women, though we know that no gesture could ever compare to the sacrifices they make to care for others.

Through every emergency, difficult moment, and call for help, they continue to serve the City of Lake Jackson with compassion, strength, and dedication. Their commitment to this community does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for everything they do.

Please help us show some love and appreciation for these amazing individuals. We appreciate them more than words can say, and we hope you do too!

Mission Lifeline Gold Recognition!

Lake Jackson EMS is proud to be nationally recognized by the American Heart Association with Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Achievement Awards for both heart attack and stroke care.

This recognition is awarded to EMS agencies that consistently meet, or exceed, rigorous benchmarks in treating acute stroke and ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients.

This means:
- Rapid recognition of stroke and heart attack symptoms,
- Timely prehospital EKG acquisition and interpretation
- Efficient communication and activation of hospital stroke and cardiac teams
- Enhanced coordination with receiving facilities to reduce time-to-treatment

Gold is the highest level of performance, reflecting a full year of excellence in delivering evidence-based care, reducing delays, and improving survival rates for these time-critical medical emergencies.

We are extremely proud of our EMTs and Paramedics and hope you can help us in congratulating them on their success! We study, train, and practice DAILY and strive towards excellence!

Today for EMS Week, our dedicated crews will be visiting local elementary schools for fun and educational Poison Control presentations with second-grade students!

These interactive sessions will teach kids:

- What poison is and why it can be dangerous
- How to stay safe at home and at school
- What to do in an emergency
- How to recognize the Poison Control symbol and when to call for help

We’re excited to empower students with knowledge while also letting them be familiar with our ambulances and equipment!

So, if you see Lake Jackson ambulances outside your school on Tuesday surrounded by lots of excited students, don’t be alarmed, that’s just us celebrating EMS Week and helping educate the next generation on staying safe.

Did you know our crews frequently have to decide when to utilize air medical resources?

This morning, we had the opportunity to host our long time partners - Memorial Hermann Life Flight for a discussion on the operations and capabilities of their program. Trainings like this help our providers make critical decisions with confidence when it matters most.

We truly appreciate the strong partnership with Life Flight and believe that our community is fortunate to have such a valuable resource close by.

THANK YOU!

A big THANK YOU to Mr. and Mrs. Tolbert for graciously purchasing dinner for our medics this weekend!

It was perfect timing as our medics were volunteering their time to participate in the "A Night in the Spotlight" event on Saturday. This event brings members of public safety and volunteers from throughout the county to host prom night for local children with special needs.

They intended to do this act quietly, but our medics couldn't let such generosity go unrecognized. We appreciate your support.
