This year’s “Salute to Labor” event will honor Kate Leon & Ryan Ham, two young labor leaders helping build strong community here in Ulster County.

Kate Leon has spent over a decade in the labor movement as a union organizer and community advocate, and is currently running for Ulster County Legislature. A Lake Katrine resident, she is dedicated to connecting more working people to local civic life.

Ryan Ham is a lifelong Ulster County resident, community leader, and proud member of Laborers Local 17. Ryan has been a strong voice for working people and organized labor in our region.

Come out for good food, great people, and a chance to connect with fellow Democrats, labor supporters, and working families from across our community.

Backyard BBQ, conversation, and a launch for our summer voter outreach program. No experience needed, and you definitely do not need to be “a canvasser” to come.

UPDATE: Our shelves are more than full and we're now able to help other shelters as well to make sure our entire area has for their ! The Dodo

🚨 URGENT: Our Shelves are Empty! 🐾
We’ve officially hit a crisis point at the Ulster County SPCA. As of this morning, our very last bags of dry dog food have been used. have been slower than usual lately, and with so many to feed, we are reaching out to our amazing for a .

We are currently at 200% capacity for dogs, with this week alone having 9 dogs enter the shelter through humane law cases, lost dogs and owner surrenders. Please visit us at www.ucspca.org to or today!

Meet Kate Leon, a Town of Ulster resident running for Ulster County Legislature in District 3.

Kate is a working parent, union organizer, and active community member who is stepping up to serve our neighbors and community.

Hi neighbors — I’m Kate Leon, and I’m running for Ulster County Legislature in District 3.

I’m a working parent, union organizer, and Town of Ulster resident who believes county government should reflect the real lives of the people who live here.

Too often, decisions get made far away from the everyday experiences of working families. I’m running to bring more of our neighbors’ voices into county government and help build a county that’s affordable, supportive of working people, and grounded in strong local communities.

Over the next few months I’ll be out meeting neighbors across District 3 and listening to what matters most to you.
