Wilsona School District The Wilsona School District has an enrollment of just over 1260 students from Transitional Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.

There are two elementary schools, Vista San Gabriel Elementary (TK-2nd), Wilsona Elementary (3rd -5th) and one middle school, Challenger Middle School (6th-8th). The District office is located on the Vista San Gabriel Elementary site. Currently, there are 65 teachers in the District and 140 support staff. The School District is managed by the Superintendent. The District covers approximately 100 s

quare miles in the northeast corner of Los Angeles County, although most of the region is uninhabited. 90% of the area’s population is located within 20 square miles. The community includes both unincorporated parts of Palmdale and Lancaster as well as Wilsona Gardens and Lake Los Angeles. The District boundaries reach Avenue J to the north, 255th to the east, Avenue S to the south and 142nd to the west. Our high school students attend the Antelope Valley High School District.

Happy Friday Wilsona families,

As we close another successful school year, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your partnership, support, and commitment to your children's education. Together, we have celebrated achievements, overcome challenges, and created meaningful learning experiences for our students.

Summer is a time for making memories, exploring new adventures, and enjoying quality time with family and friends. We hope you take this opportunity to relax, recharge, and enjoy all that the season has to offer. While you're having fun, we also encourage students to continue reading, exploring, and learning throughout the summer to help them stay engaged and prepared for the year ahead.

We are already looking forward to welcoming our students back for the 2026-27 school year. The first day of school will be Monday, August 10th, and we can't wait to begin another exciting year of learning and growth together.

Feliz viernes, familias de Wilsona!

Al concluir otro exitoso año escolar, quiero tomar un momento para agradecerles a cada uno de ustedes por su colaboración, apoyo y compromiso con la educación de sus hijos. Juntos hemos celebrado logros, superado desafíos y creado experiencias de aprendizaje significativas para nuestros estudiantes.

El verano es un tiempo para crear recuerdos, explorar nuevas aventuras y disfrutar de tiempo de calidad con la familia y los amigos. Esperamos que aprovechen esta oportunidad para descansar, recargar energías y disfrutar de todo lo que esta temporada tiene para ofrecer. Mientras se divierten, también animamos a los estudiantes a continuar leyendo, explorando y aprendiendo durante el verano para ayudarles a mantenerse motivados y preparados para el próximo año escolar.

Happy Friday Wilsona families,

As we approach the end of the school year, we want to remind you that next week is the final week of school. The last day of school is Friday, June 5th.

Please note that Thursday, June 4th and Friday, June 5th are minimum days, with early dismissal for all students.

As we wrap up a wonderful school year, we encourage you to take some time this summer to relax, spend quality time with family, and enjoy a well-deserved break. Whether you're traveling or enjoying time at home, we hope your summer is filled with fun, rest, and great memories.

Happy Friday Wilsona families,

This is a reminder that there will be no school on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day. School will resume on Tuesday, May 26th.

Memorial Day is a time for us to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. We encourage families to take a moment during the long weekend to reflect on the importance of their service and dedication.

As we approach the final nine days of school, we want to remind families of the importance of strong daily attendance. These last days are filled with exciting activities, classroom celebrations, special events, and opportunities for students to make lasting memories with their classmates and teachers. We do not want any student to miss out on the fun and meaningful experiences planned to close out the school year.

Este es un recordatorio de que no habrá clases el lunes 25 de mayo en conmemoración del Día de los Caídos. Las clases se reanudarán el martes 26 de mayo.

El Día de los Caídos es un momento para honrar y recordar a los valientes hombres y mujeres que hicieron el máximo sacrificio mientras servían a nuestro país.
