Today volunteers spun their magic and installed this years whimsical pumpkin people in the gardens. You can stroll our gardens and find the many pumpkin people from now until November 3rd.

The NC Extension Master Gardener Volunteers of Iredell County returned today to help us plant, prune and w**d the east end gardens. Their input and ideas were so much help as we prepare our gardens for fall. The Master Gardeners even gave helpful advice to our visitors.

While visiting, the Master Gardeners had a little fun posing in our fall photo stand in screens.

Amy Wald, the designer of the popular Rainbow Bridge will be presenting a Pet Remembrance Rock workshop Saturday October 17th at the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge Education Center. In this workshop, participants will learn how to create a painted rock with their pet's name on it. Rocks can be made for one pet or multiple pets.

A new Rainbow Bridge has been rebuilt in Lake Lure two years after the beloved bridge was destroyed during Helene.

CAREFUL! WET PAINT!
If you come to see the Rainbow Bridge this weekend, please give the wet paint a chance to cure. We have applied a special marine grade sealer and it needs time to cure properly. We will be applying a second coat Monday. Please attach collars from the outside of the rails. The Rainbow Bridge will be accessible later next week. Thank you all for helping us make this wonderful feature as special as can be. ❤️

The Rainbow Bridge is here!
We are very excited to announce that the Rainbow Bridge was installed today and visitors are already bringing collars to hang on the railings. A big thanks to Blake and Ethan from Handcrafted Garden Bridges, who drove all the way from Mulberry, Arkansas to install the bridge on site today. The designer of the Rainbow Bridge, Amy Wald has attached the recovered collars and will begin painting rainbow colors on the floorboards today and tomorrow. Visitors have already begun to add collars to the railings.
