Reminder that the Springhill Township Supervisors will hold two public meetings on Thursday September 3, 2026 at the Appalachian Community Center, at 6PM and 7PM.

Meeting Location: Appalachian Community Center, 2390 Springhill Furnace Road, Smithfield, PA 15478

6:00 PM – Public Meeting: The Board of Supervisors will consider the proposed Data Center Zoning Ordinance and provide an opportunity for public comment.

7:00 PM – Special Meeting: The Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting to consider final approval of the proposed ordinance.

Residents and other interested persons are encouraged to attend and will have an opportunity to comment on the proposed ordinance.

The revised Data Center, Fossil Energy, and Noise ordinances can be reviewed on the township website.

Springhill Township will hold public meetings on Thursday, September 3, 2026, regarding a proposed amendment to the Township Zoning Ordinance establishing definitions, standards, and zoning requirements for data centers.

Meeting Location: Appalachian Community Center, 2390 Springhill Furnace Road, Smithfield, PA 15478

6:00 PM – Public Meeting: The Board of Supervisors will consider the proposed Data Center Zoning Ordinance and provide an opportunity for public comment.

The township office will be closing at 11:45 AM Friday August 28, 2026 so the secretary can attend to a personal matter.

Sadler St will be closed Tues 8/18 and Wed 8/19 from 7am-5pm.

Allegheny Contracting will be doing a road project that involves cutting the road. This project requires road closure and there will be very little traffic allowed through. Please plan your route ahead of time if you have to travel this road as there will be limited traffic due to the road cutting. Data Center Ordinance Workshop – August 13, 2026

Springhill Township will hold a Data Center Ordinance Workshop on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Springhill Township Building, 198 Lake Lynn Road.

All members of the Springhill Township Planning Commission will be attending the workshop. Residents are encouraged to attend.
