Chicken over homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and dessert made for a pretty comforting dinner at Lilac Springs.

When families are searching for assisted living, there are obviously some very big things to consider — care, safety, staffing, support. But the everyday things matter, too.

The meals.
The conversations around the table.
The familiar foods you’ve loved for years.

Those little comforts are part of making somewhere feel like home.

Breakfast is served. 🍳🥓

Scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, buttered toast and fruit — nothing complicated, just a good breakfast made right here at Lilac Springs.

Because sometimes feeling at home really does start with the little things… including waking up to the smell of bacon. 😉

We gave them a blank canvas… and a little creative freedom. 🎨

A few gems, beads, butterflies, googly eyes and plenty of personality later — we had quite the collection of creations to admire.

No two turned out quite the same, which might just be the best part.

Our Lilac Springs crew certainly knows how to make things their own!

A full calendar matters. But so does a full life. ❤️

At Lilac Springs, activities like bingo aren’t simply something to fill an afternoon.

They’re another reason to come to the table. To have something to look forward to. To laugh with the person across from you. To stay engaged, involved, and part of what’s happening around you.

And yes… winning certainly doesn’t hurt. 😉

Nothing like a friendly game of UNO at Lilac Springs — although with cards this size, there’s definitely no pretending you “didn’t see” that Draw Two. 😉

Games like this are about more than filling an afternoon. They bring everyone together, keep minds engaged, create plenty of laughs, and sometimes reveal just how competitive our residents really are. ❤️

There’s something about a good, home-cooked meal. ❤️

Shredded beef roast, fried cabbage with bacon, seasoned fried potatoes, a warm roll, and a little something sweet to finish it off.

At Lilac Springs, meals aren’t just something to check off the schedule. Good food is one of those everyday comforts that can make a place feel a little more like home — and we think that matters.

Better care. Not bigger numbers.
