🚓🚒🚑 That’s a wrap on Safety Day 2026! 💙

What an amazing day! A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and spent the day with us. Seeing so many families, smiling faces, and kids having fun while getting to know their local first responders is exactly what Safety Day is all about!

We’re incredibly grateful to all of the police, fire, and EMS from both Jackson and Milton Township, The Mahoning County Sheriff’s, ODNR, State Highway Patrol, community organizations like NOPEC, the Mahoning County Prosecutor’s, Sunshine Preschool and Childcare, Salon on 1 Eight, and Jeswald’s Towing, volunteers, and everyone else who helped make today possible. Events like this wouldn’t happen without so many people willing to give their time and support to our community. ❤️

And of course… we came for the sirens and stayed for the snacks. 😉🚨🌭🍦 THANK YOU to Austintown Chick-fil-A for feeding all of us and Udderly Sweet Treats for the perfect dessert!

Thank you for making Safety Day 2026 such a great one! We’re already looking forward to next year! 💙

🚨 COMMUNITY SAFETY DAY IS HERE! 🚓🚒☀️

Join us TOMORROW, Saturday, August 8th from 12–3 PM at Jackson-Milton High School for an afternoon packed with FREE family fun while learning about ways to stay safe at school, work, and home!

There’s something for everyone — Touch-A-Truck, K-9 & drone units, a bounce house, face painting, hair tinsel, raffle baskets, giveaways, ice cream, FREE Chick-fil-A nuggets, and even a chance to dunk the School Resource Officer! 😂💦

Plus, from 12:30 to 2:30 little ones can meet Chase & Marshall from Paw Patrol! 🐾

We asked them before their shift to give us their best impression… and let’s just say, they were very confident. Then we put those “sirens” to the test. 🤣

🎆 A Friendly Fourth of July PSA from the Milton Township Police District 🇺🇸

We know… it’s loud. 💥

Before you call 911 this Fourth of July weekend, ask yourself:

🚨 Is it:
❌ Fireworks?
❌ More fireworks?
❌ Even MORE fireworks?
➡️ Probably not a 911 emergency.

✅ Call 911 if:
• Someone is injured.
• A fire has started.
• You witness a crime or another true emergency.
• Someone is in immediate danger.

🚫 Please don’t call 911 to report:
• “My neighbor has been setting off fireworks since 7:00 AM”
• “They’re really loud.”
• “My dog is giving me dirty looks.”
• “I think they bought the BIG box.”

While we understand fireworks can be frustrating, tying up emergency lines can delay help for someone experiencing a real emergency.

Have fun, celebrate responsibly, keep a hose or bucket of water nearby, and leave the professional pyrotechnics to the professionals when possible.

Please join us in congratulating LT. Zlenka, SGT. Carrell, and Officer Monk on successfully completing School Resource Officer (SRO) Training!

This specialized training equips officers with the knowledge and skills needed to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families while helping create a safe and supportive learning environment. SROs play an important role not only in school safety but also as mentors, educators, and trusted members of the community.
