Orion Veterans Memorial The Orion Veterans Memorial dedicated to all military service personnel from the Orion Township area and all branches of the United States military.

The Orion Veterans Memorial is the Charter Township of Orion's tribute to the sacrifices made by the men and women of Orion and our country. This memorial is not about war, it's about people and paying tribute to all the military service personnel who honorably served their country. We don't glorify war, we glorify the spirit of the men and women that fought for this great country. The focus of th

e memorial is on world peace and the debt of honor owed to those who have served. Now, you can also be a part of hundreds who have donated contributions as individuals, families, corporations and organizations by putting their own name on an engraved brick in the"Commemorative Walkway" which is around the perimeter of the "Pathway to Peace" where the majority of the military personnel bricks are placed. You don't have to donate just for a living or deceased veteran who served in the military. Show your patriotism by donating an "engraved brick". When you do, you honor all who have served and/or given their lives for our freedom! Make a lasting tribute today!

The 10th Annual Orion Veterans Memorial Day Run/Walk is TOMORROW. 🇺🇸

And good news! We ordered lots of these awesome shirts, designed by Adrianna Hayes ( on Instagram) and made possible by our presenting sponsor, Schoenherr Roofing. That means even if you register today or tomorrow morning, we’ll likely still have a shirt for you!

Registered runners can pick up their bibs and shirts from our partners, Eastside Racing Company, between 12 PM and 4 PM at Hanson’s in Downtown Lake Orion, or tomorrow morning at Children’s Park beginning at 7:45 AM before the race.

In other awesome news, Supervisor Chris Barnett (proudly modeling our event shirt and sponsors here!) will serve as the starter and announcer for tomorrow’s race!
