Parent Volunteers Needed for Día de Mu***os!

On Monday, November 2, from 1:30–2:30 PM, Palisades students will come together for a special teacher-led Día de Mu***os celebration!

Students will explore this beautiful Mexican tradition through hands-on activities, including papel picado, paper flowers, decorating ofrendas, wooden skull crafts, and traditional pan de mu**to.

We need parent volunteers to help run activity stations! If you’re Raptor-approved, please sign up to help make this cultural celebration a success.

♻️ Don’t toss it, save it for our School Swap this weekend! 👕👟

Clean out your kids’ closets, and please bring your gently used clothing, shoes, and other items that are still in good condition to this weekend's swap! Not only does this give them a second life, it helps keep them out of the landfill!

Just like last year, our Swap is all about reuse, sustainability, and supporting our community.

💚Clean out the closet, but don’t throw it out! Save it for the Swap! 🛍️♻️

🧡 Tomorrow is Unity Day! 🧡

Palisades families, don't forget: on Wednesday, October 21, we're wearing ORANGE to show that our school stands together for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, and against bullying.

Orange shirt, socks, hair ribbon, shoelaces... anything works! Let's fill our halls with orange and show every student they belong here.

Sponsor Spotlight: Banning's

✨ Sweet news alert! ✨

If you’ve ever followed the delicious scent of warm cinnamon and golden crusts down the road, you already know today’s spectacular school sponsor. We are tossing our confetti caps into the air for the wonderful humans at Banning's Restaurant & Pie House! 🥧💛

For decades, this beloved, locally owned treasure has been serving up the ultimate comfort food and the coziest family atmosphere across the Portland area. But their magic goes far beyond baking the most scrumptious homemade pies.

The incredible family behind the pie tins aren’t just local business owners—they are cherished parents right here in our very own school community! 🏫✨

For them, supporting our classrooms and looking out for our school families is deeply close to their hearts. They believe it takes a village to help our little learners thrive, and they are always ready to dish out extra love, care, and community spirit.

We are endlessly grateful to the Banning's crew for lifting up our school and giving back so beautifully to the neighborhood we all call home. Next time your family is craving a slice of comfort (and a giant piece of pie!), swing by to say a big thank you to this amazing school sponsor! 🥧❤️
