🇺🇸 A COMMUNITY THAT REMEMBERS. A COMMUNITY THAT STEPS UP. 🇺🇸
As we get closer to bringing the Global War on Terror Traveling Wall of Remembrance to the Lake of the Ozarks this September 11th, I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible local businesses, organizations, families, and individuals who have stepped up to help make this memorial possible.
This isn’t just a wall. It represents names, lives, families, sacrifice, service, and stories that must never be forgotten. Bringing it here to our community is something that means a great deal to so many of us, and we could not do it without the people who believed in this mission and opened their hearts and their wallets to support it.

Because remembering our fallen and honoring those who served shouldn’t belong to just one person, one organization, or one group.
It belongs to all of us.
This September 11th, we will gather at the Lake of the Ozarks not only to remember what happened, but to honor the men and women who answered the call, the families who sacrificed alongside them, and the lives forever changed by the Global War on Terror.
And when that wall arrives…
Take a moment.
Walk up to it.
Look at the names.
Because behind every name is a person who had a family. Someone who was loved. Someone who had plans for tomorrow. Someone who woke up one morning and answered a call that many of us will never have to answer.
Those names are not just engraved in metal. They are engraved in history.
And for a few days here at the Lake of the Ozarks, we have the privilege — and the responsibility — to make sure those names are seen, remembered, and honored.
So bring your families. Bring your children. Bring someone who may not understand why September 11th still matters.
Let them see. Let them ask. Let them learn.
Because freedom has a price.
And some people paid the ultimate price.
The least we can do is remember their names.
