The Lake Park Maintenance/Public Works Department currently consists of two people: Jeff Patterson and Billy Jones. Both men have served the City of Lake Park for 10 years or more (Jeff took a little hiatus, but we're so very glad to have him back!). This department is responsible for Maintenance of Right of Way and Grounds (including mowing and weed-eating), Water, including reads and meter replacement, Buildings, and Cemetery, and coordinate many of the Community Service workers who come to the City. They also coordinate with Contractors and Engineers who are conducting work within the City, both on City projects and Private projects (this includes Developments, new business construction, etc). In addition to all of this, they assist with planning details, set up and clean up for the City's events at Fourth of July and Christmas. We are very proud (and relieved) to have these two men on our Team, and are working to get them some help out there. We would like to thank you all for your patience and good nature as we go through this process...it is a lot of work for two men, even with the other employees who have come and gone in the past couple of years. Keep an eye out for future posts introducing new staff as they come aboard. Many, many thanks to our Maintenance/Public Works staff for ALL that they do!

The Lake Park Volunteer Fire Department represents Community Service at its finest. As volunteerism declines, these men and women remain dedicated to Emergency Response in addition to their full-time jobs and their responsibilities to their families. The Volunteer Fire Department responds not only to fires, but to accidents, Health Emergencies, traffic emergencies, storms and weather events, among others. To be willing to put oneself at risk to aid and protect others, on a volunteer basis, is a selfless calling, and we are thankful for their continued dedication. We are honored to have them as part of our Team!

The Lake Park Police Department is the front line for Law Enforcement, Public Safety and Emergency Response in the City of Lake Park. While most people think of tickets when they think of a City Police Department, there is much more to the job. Even in small cities, there is theft, small and large, drugs, assault and domestic disturbances and abuse. Our Officers remain vigilant and respond to calls of all types to keep our residents safe. Shout out to our Officers and their Chief for a great job.
