The Lake Park Library is committed to offering excellent service to all. Our collection includes best sellers, practical books, magazines, newspapers, videos, DVDs and E-books. Computer software programs and Internet access are available. The library also offers a number of programs, for adults and children. There are two study rooms and a meeting room available for use by local organizations and

clubs. There are two entrances to the library, one at 529 Park Avenue and the other on Greenbriar Drive. Parking spaces are available at the Greenbriar Drive entrance. The library was started by the Woman's Club in 1962 and taken over by the town in 1967. In 1969, the library moved from the second floor of Lake Park Town Hall into a new building next door. As the size of the book collection and the population of the Town increased, it became necessary to add a separate children's room and a meeting room to the library in 1990. Rapid changes in library services and an increase in the types of materials available at the library have made it necessary to expand the library again. Construction on the second expansion of the building began in December 1999 and was completed in October 2000, using funds available from the Lake Park Bond Issue and a construction grant from the Florida State Library. The library addition was dedicated October 21, 2000. Lake Park residents are invited to become members of The Friends of the Lake Park Library. This group of supporters holds book sales and other fund raising events to provide additional funding for the library.

COUNTYWIDE COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION TEAM TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING FEATURING 211 ON TUESDAY, MAY 12, 2026

The Palm Beach County Office of Community Revitalization (OCR) is inviting residents, community partners, and stakeholders to attend the Countywide Community Revitalization Team (CCRT) meeting on Tuesday, May 12, at 10:00 AM. The meeting will be held in person at the Vista Center, Hearing Room 1E-60 (2300 N. Jog Road, West Palm Beach), with options to participate virtually or via conference call, as well.

This month’s meeting will feature Patrice Schroeder, M.A., Human Behavior, Community Relations Specialist with 211 Palm Beach/Treasure Coast, who will share insights on how 211 can help you.

211 is the local community helpline and crisis hotline. Its highly trained staff provide crisis intervention, support and referrals to community resources and services. Additional programs include Help Me Grow developmental screenings, the Special Needs Helpline, MYFLVET peer to peer support for veterans and active duty service members and their families, the Caregiver Support Program, Elder Crisis Outreach, and Sunshine Daily Calls for seniors, caregivers, and individuals who are housebound or living with disabilities. You can reach 211 by simply dialing 2 1 1. Calls are free, confidential and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You may also text your ZIP code to 898211.

The CCRT meeting offers an opportunity for residents to engage directly with county departments, community partners and local leaders working collaboratively to enhance the quality of life across Palm Beach County.

All are encouraged to attend and participate in this informative session. Your voice matters, and your participation builds a stronger, more connected Palm Beach County.

To join the CCRT meeting virtually, visit http://www.pbc.gov/ccrt or dial 1-844-621-3956 (U.S. toll-free) using the meeting number 2301 172 0437.
