The Olympic Authority and Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism are sharing a preview of what’s ahead as the Porsche Club of America brings its 70th annual Porsche Parade to Lake Placid from June 14-20, drawing an estimated 2,600 attendees and 1,300 vehicles for a weeklong celebration of automotive performance, community, and competition. Centered at the Lake Placid Olympic Center and Conference Center, the weeklong event will feature a full lineup of exhibitions, social gatherings, competitions, banquets, and excursions throughout the Adirondacks. While the Parade is primarily a member event, the public will have opportunities to experience select activities during the week.

With the summer season upon us, we are excited to share what’s ahead at the Lake Placid Legacy Sites. Highlights include the return of the Cliffside Coaster and an upgraded Hi Notch Climbing Center at Mt Van Hoevenberg, a new Multi-Sport Simulator at the Lake Placid Olympic Center, the revival of Soaring Saturdays at the Lake Placid Olympic Jumping Complex, and enhanced visitor experiences at the Whiteface Veterans’ Memorial Highway. The season will also feature a wide range of events, from comedy shows and orchestral concerts at the Conference Center to elite competitions in ski jumping, figure skating, ice dance and of course UCI mountain biking.

Thank you to everyone who joined us Saturday at the Lake Placid Conference Center for the Olympic Region Student Art Awards Program.
