Expect delays at the Mill Pond Drive and Old Military Road intersection this morning

Road construction has begun on Old Military Road from lower John Brown Road to Mill Pond Drive. Do yourself and the work crews a favor and avoid going that way unless absolutely necessary. Traffic in work zones will be alternating one way.

Tips:
1. Expect delays…some may be long. Allow more time to get to your destination.
2. If you have a destination on Old Military Road use side streets to get as close as you can.
3. SLOW DOWN AND PAY ATTENTION. They have barely started and there has already been an accident.

Victor Herbert Rd will be closed from Saranac Ave to Signal Hill Rd tomorrow from 7:30 to noon for tree cutting work.

Update from the Electric Department after last nights microburst…

The following areas remain without power and the estimated time for fixing the issues is 1 pm as of right now.
