Public input is sought for the selection of five to ten priority hiking trails within Hamilton County for inclusion in a trail maintenance plan as the primary goal of the Hamilton County Trails into Prosperity project. The project will enhance recreational opportunities, bolster local economies, and improve natural resource user experience by designing comprehensive trail maintenance and sustainability plans for key Hamilton County hiking trails.

Please help to spread the word about the survey by sharing the Department of Environmental Conservationโ€™s post on your page: https://www.facebook.com/NYSDEC/posts/10158701991990956

Do you love the trails of Hamilton County in the Adirondacks? If so, our friends at Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District are looking for your input! The County is aiming to improve 5-10 priority trails that will be selected based on their environmental quality, access to the back country, and other factors. If youโ€™re interested in taking a short survey to help them pick the trails, please visit https://forms.gle/kknq92WrWaUMy3z88. Survey closes 8/5.

Funding for this project is provided through a DEC Community Smart Growth grant.

The website below has been updated with relevant information for reopening. There are guidelines for each business sector to be reopened. Any business planning to reopen, will be able to read the detailed guidelines, affirm that they reviewed and agree to the guidelines, and there is a template they can use to develop a plan for their own business.

The affirmation step and a plan for their business, are both necessary steps to reopening. We want to be sure that all of our Hamilton County businesses are aware of this, and help everyone get reopened safely!

All Phases will be posted on this website as they are available!
