During National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we celebrate the voices behind every emergency call, the ones most people never see but depend on in their worst moments.

Every day our Public Safety Telecommunicators take approximately 500 calls in Washington County. However, they are far more than call-takers. They are the calm in the chaos, the experts navigating a complex digital network, and the steady link between the community and the responders heading to help. In seconds, they gather critical details, deploy limited resources, relay lifesaving information, and support people through moments they’ll never forget.

Thank you to our Public Safety Telecommunicators for being the steady voice when it matters most. We are truly grateful for you.
