Our doors will be closed for Labor Day, Monday, September 7th so our amazing volunteers and staff can kick back, relax, and enjoy some well-deserved time off. 💜

We’ll be back to our regular hours on Tuesday, ready to see you!

Our spectacular community gardeners have clearly been BUSY! Look at all the beautiful, fresh vegetables we received from some of the best gardeners around! 💜

And then there’s our Monday sorting crew — these lovely ladies took all that garden goodness and turned it into organized, client-ready veggie magic!
It takes a village… and apparently, a whole lot of gardening, sorting, and vegetable wrangling! 💜

A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated, picked, hauled, sorted, bagged, and helped get these beautiful veggies ready for our clients today. 💜

We couldn’t do it without you! Our community grows some pretty amazing things — and it’s not just vegetables! 💜

We are so grateful for this support! Fresh produce is such a huge need for us, and Courageous Connections Equine Encounters has been planting and growing fresh veggies for us for the last couple of years!

🥕 96.4 lbs delivered this week!
Our latest donation to the Lake Stevens Community Food Bank brings this year’s total to 360.7 pounds — onions, potatoes, beans, cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes, and eggs, all grown right here on the farm.

With potatoes and plenty of other veggies still in the ground, we’re well on our way to passing last year’s total of 400 pounds.
Way to go, farm team! 🌱

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to an incredible volunteer whose heart was truly with the food bank and our community.
Many knew her lovingly as "Watermelon Wilma." She generously gave countless hours volunteering at the food bank and in the community, made monetary donations, and had a special way of bringing joy to children by gifting them stuffed animals. Her kindness, compassion, and selfless spirit touched so many lives.
Wilma's legacy of giving and caring will never be forgotten, and she will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

This is Richard...our amazing volunteer who worked tirelessly and never seemed to stop!

Richard has been with the food bank since our old location—for about 8 or 9 years. He pretty much ran what we called the "Food Fort" (our warehouse). If you needed something...ask Richard. If you lost something...ask Richard. If you didn't know who to ask...you guessed it...ask Richard!

Richard was also our official "freezer guy!" While the rest of us did everything we could to avoid going in there, Richard knew exactly what was in that freezer, where it was, and how long it had been there. I'm pretty sure he had the entire inventory stored in his head! ❄️

He was basically the Energizer Bunny and just kept going...until he decided to retire about a month ago. Since then, we've been scrambling to find about 15 people to replace him! I don't think any of us truly realized just how much Richard did (or even what he did!) until he was gone.

Richard, thank you for your years of hard work, dedication, and the countless hours you gave to serving our community. You made a difference every single day, and your shoes will be impossible to fill.

While we'll all miss you more than you know, we're so excited for you and Christina as you begin this new chapter. Wishing you both a long, happy, relaxing retirement filled with adventures, laughter, and all the time you've earned to simply enjoy life. Congratulations, Richard—you've definitely earned it

A huge thank you to the incredible team from Lake Stevens Assembly of God for spending several hours volunteering with us! They jumped right in and helped with anything and everything that needed to be done, and their hard work made such a difference.
