And of course, we have to give a shoutout to our Comfort Dog Charli!!❤️ She’s definitely one of those dogs that makes life a little better just by being around.

Please join us in giving a warm Lake Villa welcome to our newest police officer, Officer Andrew Berk!

Deputy Chief DeCaro officially introduced Officer Berk during Monday’s Village Board meeting, where Mayor McDonald administered his oath of office and officially welcomed him to the Lake Villa Police Department.

Officer Berk will report to the Macon County Law Enforcement Academy on August 31, where he will spend approximately 16 weeks training and preparing for a career in law enforcement.

After graduating from the academy, Officer Berk will return to Lake Villa to complete our field training program, working alongside experienced officers as he continues to develop the skills necessary to serve our community.

Please help us congratulate Officer Berk and wish him the best as he begins this exciting new chapter!
