Please be advised that Grand Avenue between Cedar Avenue and Central Avenue will be closed for today’s Memorial Day Parade.

🕚 Road Closure Time:
12:00 PM – approximately 1:30 PM

Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and expect traffic delays in the area during the parade.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Closure Notice 🇺🇸

In observance of Memorial Day, the Lake Villa Police Department’s Records and Administrative Offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026.

As we enjoy the holiday weekend, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

Police services will remain available 24/7 for emergencies and calls for service.

The Lake Villa Police Department is joining agencies across Illinois for the 2026 Click It or Ticket campaign during the Memorial Day travel period.

Officers will conduct high-visibility enforcement day and night with a focus on seat belt violations.

🚓☕ What an amazing day at Cop on a Rooftop! ☕🚓

Today’s event was a huge success, and we want to thank everyone who came out to support Special Olympics Illinois athletes. Because of your generosity and support, we proudly raised $2,885.26! 💙🏅

A special thank you to our VIP guests from Shining Abilities and the Oakland Elementary School students for joining us and making the day even more memorable along with the awesome signs the Oakland School students made for the event! 🎨👏

We also want to thank the many residents from Lake Villa and neighboring communities who stopped by to donate, grab swag, honk their horns, and show support throughout the morning.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who donated their time today, and everyone behind the scenes who helped make today’s event possible. Events like this would not happen without your dedication and teamwork.

And of course, a huge thank you to the Lake Villa Dunkin for once again hosting this incredible event and supporting such a great cause.

🚓💨 Patrol checked on a large cloud of smoke coming from Lakes Community High School during graduation practice today, only to find the Deans and SRO Regnier grilling burgers for the seniors. 🍔🔥

No emergency — just lunch being served. Enjoy the celebration, seniors! 🎓
