🎉Surrounded by her sweet family tonight, Mrs. Deshazor went before the Board to be named Acting Principal of Lake Gibson High School! This community and school is so proud of all her accomplishments and we look forward to a bright future under her leadership! Congrats, Principal DeShazor! 😄 We would also like to take a moment to thank Mr. Ryan Vann for his leadership and service to LGHS for the last 24 years. We wish him all the best in his new role as Senior Director of Facilities and Operations for Polk County Public Schools. Because words are hard at a time like this, we are going to borrow some from Winnie the Pooh.😉 IYKYK. “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” Vann and DeShazor- LG loves you both so much!

🎉 A huge congratulations to our LG students who competed at the 2026 FCCLA National Conference last week in Washington DC! They took 10 projects to nationals, and out of those, 6 were Top 10 National Finalists and 2 came in 3rd place in the nation! ALL 10 of our individual and team projects earned gold for a total of 16 gold medals earned! 🤩
