The in-person Holly Jolly Jingle Bell Jog 5k and Reindeer Dash are canceled ☹️
Keep reading for options to either pick up your shirt and ornament, defer to next year, or receive a refund.

Wonderful Holly Jolly Joggers, racers, walkers, and reindeer,

Santa forgot to warn us about this weather system when we were planning (he’s got Rudolph, of course). With the weather unknowns, we have canceled the in-person 5k and Reindeer Dash tomorrow, 12/16/23. All runners will be transferred to our virtual option and eligible to receive a shirt, bib, and finisher ornament (or Reindeer Dash packet). If you prefer to defer to next year or receive a refund, email [email protected] with the name you registered under so that process can get started.

All registered participants should have received an email with these details but just in case:

We will be ready for packet pick-up this afternoon as planned at 1916 Irish Pub, inside Cleveland Heights Golf Course at 2900 Buckingham Ave. Enter from the North side of the building to avoid interrupting a private event.

If you can’t make it this afternoon and are not deferring or getting a refund, you can pick up your packet next week at Gandy Pool, Monday (12/18) – Thursday (12/21) from 8 am to 6 pm. Gandy Pool is adjacent to Kelly Rec at 404 Imperial Blvd. 33803 (behind the Walmart on S. FL).

Also, all of the Jingle Bell elves are sad to miss the festivities and your Holly Jolly Attire!! We would LOVE to celebrate your festive walk/jog/run virtually. Send us pictures of you in your shirt and/or festive attire to include those in this year’s event album. Email those to [email protected] or DM them to on Instagram or Facebook.

Imagine a world where creativity and sustainability collide. That's exactly what happened at our 2024 ReEnergize Lakeland calendar contest, where local elementary school students unleashed their artistic talents to create masterpieces that will inspire us all. With over 700 entries, our judges had the difficult task of selecting the 13 winning art pieces that truly embodied the essence of ReEnergize Lakeland. And now, the moment we've all been waiting for has arrived! Our Lakeland Electric employees, accompanied by our beloved mascot Wattson, are embarking on a special mission this week - to personally deliver the $100 cash prizes to these young artists who have captured our hearts and minds. Today, we awarded Grace, Highlands Grove Elementary School student. We are honored to support the brilliant minds of our community's future through the power of education.

Selfies with Santa at Hollis Garden is kicking off the celebrations, starting this Saturday, December 2. Immerse yourself in the holiday spirit by capturing memorable moments with Santa himself.🎅 (Parking: In addition to the availability of the Magnolia Building Parking Lot, citizens are welcome to make use of the Iowa Street Garage, which will be open and accessible during the event.)

Then get ready for the 42nd Annual Lakeland Christmas Parade on Thursday, December 7, featuring this year's enchanting theme, "Christmas in Candy Land." It's a visual delight you won't want to miss. 🦌

Snowfest follows on Saturday, December 9, offering a winter wonderland experience for the whole family. Then, on Tuesday, December 12, don't forget to answer Santa's Calling for a magical moment that's sure to warm your heart. (Reg. required*)❄️

Wrapping up the festivities is the Holly Jolly Jingle Bell Jog 5K & Reindeer Dash Kids' Fun Run on Saturday, December 16. Lace up your running shoes for a joyful and active way to celebrate the season. 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️
