We’re continuing our Mahjong & Mingling series with our very first Open Play Mahjong Night! 🎉 Bring your card and join us at the Junior League Building on September 29 from 6–9 PM for an evening of Mahjong, laughter, and connection. Light refreshments will be provided!

Players of all experience levels are welcome. Enjoy friendly games, sharpen your skills, and connect with fellow Mahjong enthusiasts in a fun, welcoming atmosphere. ❤️

🌩️📚 We’re so glad to be back at Bonnet Springs STEM in the Park again this year! 🌳📖

Last Saturday we were at STEM in the Park for a RIF Distribution and the theme was “Extreme Weather,” so our books were all about storms and the amazing forces of nature! ⛈️🌪️ We loved sharing books with families and helping young readers find a story to take home and enjoy.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit us, and a special thank-you to our members who volunteered their time to make this RIF distribution possible. ❤️ Your support helps us put books into the hands of children and inspire a lifelong love of reading!

We’re looking forward to another great year of books, STEM, and reading adventures at Bonnet Springs! 📚✨

What a wonderful way to welcome our newest members to The Junior League of Greater Lakeland! ❤️

From a special Welcome Party to the Provisional Retreat, it was a weekend filled with connection, learning, and excitement for the year ahead. 🌟

A heartfelt thank you to Past President Kimberly Elmhorst for hosting the Welcome Party, to our Board members for welcoming our Provisionals, and to our incredible Provisional Committee for creating such a memorable kickoff! ✨

🀄️ Mahjong is making its way to the Junior League Building! 🀄️

We’re excited to kick off Mahjong & Mingling, a series of Mahjong events featuring Mahjong 101 lessons taught by certified instructors, plus open play days for those ready to put their skills to the test!

Our first event is Mahjong 101 with Swan City Mahj on September 26 at 1:00 PM at the Junior League Building. Come learn the basics, meet fellow mahjong enthusiasts, and enjoy some light refreshments along the way! ✨

Whether you’re brand new to the game or looking to sharpen your skills, we’d love to have you join us. All proceeds support the Junior League’s mission and community impact.

Back-to-school season is here, and we are proud to have been able to support the Parker Street Ministries Start Smart Education Essentials Drive again by donating 199 school uniform items, including uniform shirts, pants, socks, and other essentials, to help local students start the school year ready to learn.

Several of our members also volunteered at Parker Street Ministries, sorting and organizing the uniform items to help prepare them for distribution to local students and families. Thank you to all those that volunteered your time!

We are honored to partner with Parker Street Ministries each year and thankful for the incredible work they do for children and families throughout our community. We're grateful to be part of this effort to help students start the school year with confidence. 💙📚

This fall, our members will wear the same black dress for five days in a row, but it’s not about the dress itself.

It’s about the conversations it will start.

Every question, comment, or curious glance creates an opportunity to raise awareness about economic insecurity and the challenges many individuals and families face every day. Those conversations help shine a light on the mission of the Little Black Dress Initiative and why this work matters.

The dress is simply the conversation starter.
Awareness is the goal. Lasting change is the impact.
