For the past 10 years our local Scouts have been putting out flags as a memorial to those lives lost during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Those original flags are well used and need to be replaced. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of those attacks, and we plan to put the flags out again. If you would like to make a donation to help purchase new flags, please let us know. Also, if you have child, or grand child that would like to assist installing the flags we welcome the public to assist. We will have more details soon on details of the installation day. Thank you for your interest.

Tonight Dakota Prescott completed his Eagle Board of review to become Troop 864’s newest Eagle Scout. Dakota painted Burnt Church as his project with help from his fellow Troop members. In total over 405 hours were put into the project.

Members of Troop 864 traveled to Iowa this weekend to celebrate fellow Troop member and Eagle Scout Dylan Bartenhagen’s High School Graduation. Along the way stops were made in Nashville Tennessee and at the Gateway Arch in St Louis, MO.

On Sunday we attended the graduation ceremony at Louisa Muscatine High School and began our trip home.

Congratulations to Dylan on his high school graduation. Thank you for letting us share in your big day.
