UPDATE: Water is now back on! All amenities are restored.

LEXINGTON STATE DOCK CURRENTLY WITHOUT WATER

Due to a large water line leak inside our building, the main water line supplying the docks and the bathrooms had to be turned off until repairs can be made.

We will keep this post updated!

EDIT: boat launch is open!

Due to construction, launching watercraft at the Lexington boat launch is currently not possible. It will reopen once the barge moves.

The site will likely also be closed Friday morning while material is trucked in. Once trucking is complete, the site will reopen. Follow this page for updates.

We have been receiving many questions about whether or not we are open. As of today, July 21st, we are 100% open! (We were open partially on July 17th)

Make reservations online at: www.midnrreservations.com

Fuel, pump-outs, slips, and all other amenities are available. Come see us! The boat launch is also partially open (one skid pier, 2 launch lanes), but may close periodically to truck material down to the boat launch to be used in the USACE breakwater grout project. More updates on this and future projects can be found at https://www.michigan.gov/dnr/managing-resources/prd/key-project-updates

⚠️ Safety Notice: Please stay behind the fence on the breakwall! ⚠️

We know the breakwall is a favorite spot for walking and taking in the views, but we need your help. Please do not bypass the fencing to enter the active construction zone.

Here is why respecting the barricades is so important:

Public Safety: Construction zones have uneven ground, heavy overhead machinery, and unseen hazards. It is incredibly dangerous for anyone to be in this area.

Worker Safety: Unexpected visitors distract equipment operators and put our construction crews at risk.

Project Delays: Every time someone crosses into the restricted area, work must immediately stop to ensure everyone is safe. These interruptions add up quickly and delay the completion of the project.
We want to finish this work as quickly and safely as possible so the entire breakwall can be reopened for everyone to enjoy.

Please respect the signs and the fencing. Thank you for your patience and cooperation! 🚧👷‍♀️🌊
