CO alarms save lives.
Burtchville Twp. Fire recently responded to a call where a carbon monoxide alarm detected dangerously high levels inside a home. The resident dialed 911 right away, and that quick action prevented what could have been a life-threatening situation. Make sure your CO alarms are installed, working, and tested regularly—your safety depends on it.

Today we welcomed our new rescue vehicle. Thank you Burtchville Township tax payers for your support in this endeavor.

🌟Citizen Spotlight🌟

On January 20, 2025 Michael was travelling on Lakeshore Rd with his granddaughter. Around 9:45 pm, he spotted a vehicle on fire near Wilkes Dr. Michael immediately pulled over to assist in anyway he could. It was clear that the vehicle was still occupied. By a chance of fate, he had placed a fire extinguisher in his vehicle earlier that morning. Michael utilized the entirety of his fire extinguisher, effectively holding off the flames until responders arrived. After it was empty, Michael attempted to break the windshield to access the driver. Michael's quick thinking and proactive actions kept the flames from the driver and likely saved his life.

Sheriff Mat King presented Michael with a Citizens' Award for his actions. Thank you for your commitment to helping others, regardless of the circumstance.
