☀️🌡️ Stay Cool & Stay Informed: Cooling Center Alerts Now Available!
With hot weather in Lake County, knowing where to find a safe place to cool down can make a big difference. 211 Lake now offers a FREE text notification service to let residents know when participating Lake County cooling centers are activated and open to the public.

📱 Sign up for Cooling Center text alerts:
Visit https://211lake.org/ and select “Community Resource Push-Text Alert Sign-Up.”

When a participating cooling center opens, you'll receive a text from 211 Lake with a link to the current cooling center map and information about available locations.

📍 Cooling Center Information
Lake County currently has 10 community organizations ready to activate cooling centers, with two additional locations in the process of becoming available. The online map provides information about each location, including capacity, device charging, pet accommodations, backup power, and—when activated—days and hours of operation.

Lakeport Police Department Phone Lines Are Now Operational

The Lakeport Police Department is pleased to announce that our phone lines are now fully operational.

Members of the public may now contact the Lakeport Police Department by phone as normal. We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding while the phone system was being restored.

For emergencies, please continue to call 911.

The Lakeport Police Department’s business phone service remains interrupted, and we do not yet have an estimated time for restoration.

There is no impact to 911 service. If you have an emergency, please continue to call 911.

For non-emergency police assistance, please call 707-263-2690.

In the coming days, community members may see Clearlake Police Department officers patrolling within the City of Lakeport.

Clearlake officers are assisting the Lakeport Police Department during a period of temporary staffing challenges. This is a short-term arrangement intended to supplement our patrol coverage and help respond to calls for service.

Lakeport Police officers will continue patrolling our community and responding to calls. Clearlake officers will work alongside our personnel to help maintain consistent law enforcement services for Lakeport residents, businesses, and visitors.

Our departments have a long history of working together, and we sincerely appreciate the Clearlake Police Department and its officers for supporting our community during these times of need.

Lakeport Unified School District Students are back in the classrooms Today!. That means buses are running their routes, students will be walking to bus stops and school campuses, and students will be driven to school by family members. Please take great care on the roadway! Allow more time to get to your destinations around school start- and end-times, watch for pedestrians, and stop for buses when the Red Lights are FLASHING!! Lakeport Police Patrols will be increased during those times focusing on Education, but also issuing citations when necessary. Help us by helping keep the children safe on their way to and from school!
