☀️🌡️ Stay Cool & Stay Informed: Cooling Center Alerts Now Available!
With hot weather in Lake County, knowing where to find a safe place to cool down can make a big difference. 211 Lake now offers a FREE text notification service to let residents know when participating Lake County cooling centers are activated and open to the public.
📱 Sign up for Cooling Center text alerts:
Visit https://211lake.org/ and select “Community Resource Push-Text Alert Sign-Up.”
When a participating cooling center opens, you'll receive a text from 211 Lake with a link to the current cooling center map and information about available locations.
📍 Cooling Center Information
Lake County currently has 10 community organizations ready to activate cooling centers, with two additional locations in the process of becoming available. The online map provides information about each location, including capacity, device charging, pet accommodations, backup power, and—when activated—days and hours of operation.
