How long have you been doing EMS?
Since 2000, 26 years.

What are your EMS goals?
To continue to train future EMS providers and watch them grow.

What do you love most about Lakeside?
The interaction with the community and getting to know other members. I've made lifelong friendships over the years. We've also always been on the forefront of new equipment and allowing our members to learn new skills.

When not volunteering, what do you do for work/fun?
I work for the Commonwealth at a healthcare oversight agency. When not volunteering, I'm out with my family and friends or just spending some time relaxing at home.

This weekend, a few of LVRS members were on a standby at Dorey Park to celebrate Juneteenth with the Henrico County community.

LVRS members had a great time at Furbish Thrift's Big Astronomical Pet Adoption Bonanza over the weekend. It was adorable getting to see pups find their furever homes. 🐾 🐕
One pup even found a home with one of our member's family! 🎉

How long have you been doing EMS?
I've been doing EMS going on 2 years now.

What are your EMS goals?
I plan to further my education with continuing education classes and eventually become a paramedic.

What do you love most about Lakeside?
I love the family I've created at Lakeside!

When not volunteering, what do you do for work/fun?
When not volunteering I'm working at my IFT job, doing Lakeside membership things, or doing fun crafts and planning my wedding!

How long have you been doing EMS?
I have been doing EMS since 2022 and have been with lakeside for nearly 2 years.

What are your EMS goals?
⁃ My goals in EMS are to further my education so I can provide the best care to my patients. I also want to help teach and support new members/EMTs as they grow in the profession.

What do you love most about Lakeside?
⁃ I love that LVRS has given me the opportunity to volunteer. Volunteer work is very important to me and being able to provide such a service to the community is so special. LVRS has opened many doors for me and I am very thankful.

When not volunteering, what do you do for work/fun?
⁃ When I am not volunteering I am probably at school or at clinical. I am in my third semester at Bon Secours St. Mary’s School of Medical Imaging. I love to be outside staying active!

This is my 3rd year in EMS and at Lakeside Rescue.

What are your EMS goals?
LVRS has and continues to give me so much space to learn and grow as a provider.

What do you love most about lakeside?
What I love most about Lakeside is the bonds I have made with my crew and the insane experiences we get to share (plus our chain restaurant routine).

When not volunteering, what do you do for work/fun?
When I am not volunteering, I enjoy hanging out with my two cats and you might also find me roller blading out around town. 🛼
