Did you know giving babies small amounts of common allergen foods early can help lower their risk for food allergies? You can start when you begin other solid foods.

Tips for introducing allergens:
• Be consistent: Offer small amounts regularly
• Offer variety: Try different foods, but not two brand‑new ones in the same meal
• Stay connected: Talk with your healthcare provider and WIC staff for support

If you or your child has a food allergy or intolerance, WIC can help adjust your food package to better fit your needs.

Remember, before you head outside, make sure you’re ready:
• Check your local forecast and be aware of daily high temperatures in your area.
• Never leave kids or pets in the car.
• Drink plenty of water.
• Wear sunscreen, sunglasses, or sun hats to keep yourself cool.
