What an incredible show of hard work and dedication!

This summer, members, families, and friends of the North Lake Swine Club spent a weekend at the Lake County Fairgrounds giving our swine barns a complete makeover. They tore down every pen and brought in fill dirt (donated by Pardue Construction), leveled both barns, and put everything back together.

We cannot thank the North Lake Swine Club, friends, and Pardue Construction enough for their time, effort, and willingness to take on such a big project. We are incredibly grateful for your investment in the Lake County 4-H Program!

It has been a busy summer for Lake County 4-H, and we are taking a moment to look back at one of our awesome events, Swine Camp!

These 4-H members worked hard, asked great questions, and had plenty of fun preparing for the fair season.

I am excited to share we will be having a small animal clinic this Saturday, August 15th at 10 am. Here at the Lake County Extension Office, we will be hosting a clinician who will discuss and demonstrate all things showmanship. She will be covering rabbits, cavies, chickens, and turkeys.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn tips and tricks while working with your animal or learning how to show one you’re not familiar with.
