🥍 Lakeville South Girls Lacrosse rounds out a successful season at state!

After winning their 6th consecutive section championship at the Class 1A section tournament on June 2 against the Farmington Tigers, 12-10, the Cougars advanced to the 2026 Girls Class A Lacrosse State Tournament. 👏

The Cougars competed in the quarterfinals against the Buffalo Bison on June 9 at White Bear Lake Area High School, with a score of 9-11.

Lakeville track athletes brought the speed, grit and a whole lot of heart to the 2026 Class AAA State Track & Field Meet! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💨

Held June 4-6, the meet featured standout performances from Lakeville North and Lakeville South–highlighted by Lakeville South senior Eva Welsch earning the back-to-back state champion in the Girls 100 Meter Hurdles. 🥇🔥

…and somehow ended up in a storm drain! 😳🌧️ Oh no!

But not to worry–our custodial superheroes at Crystal Lake Education Center were on the scene, rescuing the ducklings and safely reuniting them with mama duck. 🐤

Just another day of going above and beyond to take care of our schools (and surprise wildlife situations)!

🎭✨ Lakeville South Theatre’s production of Hadestown: Teen Edition has earned major recognition from Hennepin Arts Spotlight Education, including Outstanding honors in both Overall Technical Production and Overall Performance–plus the top award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theatre!

The cast also performed at the 2026 Spotlight Showcase at the State Theatre in Minneapolis on June 8, while seniors Jordan Rivera and M Lyboualong also represented Lakeville South in select Spotlight programs.

🎓 ✨ Alumni Spotlight: Meet Arthur Fournier, a Lakeville High School alum whose passion for history, travel and discovery has led to a one-of-a-kind career.

Today, Fournier works with universities, museums and research libraries around the world, helping them acquire rare books, photographs, manuscripts and other historical treasures that preserve and tell the stories of our past.

Fournier credits the supportive community he found in Lakeville for helping shape the curiosity and love of learning that would eventually take him around the globe.

🏆🥏 A state championship and a third-place finish? What a great day for Lakeville Ultimate Frisbee!

Both Lakeville North and Lakeville South advanced to the semifinals of the Open Division II State Championship on May 31, setting up an exciting all-Lakeville matchup. North went on to capture the state title with a 15-6 win in the championship game, while South secured third place with a 15-4 victory in its final match. 👏

🎨✨ Congratulations to four Lakeville North student artists who earned Best in Show honors at the MSHSL Region 1AA Visual Arts competition! Their award-winning artwork was selected for display at the 2026 MSHSL Arts Festival in early May, showcasing some of Minnesota's most talented young artists. We are so proud of their creativity, dedication and artistic excellence! 👏

Check out an artist spotlight of Lakeville North senior Fiona Hamer, whose artistic career includes multiple state exhibits, Best in Show honors and a passion for inspiring future artists as she prepares to study Art Education in college.

🎓​👏 Congratulations to the Lakeville Area Schools Class of 2026!​ 👏🎓

On June 4, Lakeville South and Lakeville North graduates were celebrated at their respective stadiums. And on June 3, Lakeville Pathways Academy graduates celebrated commencement at Brackett's Crossing Country Club.

We wish all of our graduates the absolute best as they enter this exciting​ new chapter of their lives! 🐾
