Today we had the honor to attend the graduation for Eden Ohmen and Ella Emberlin. These two brave young ladies spent a week attending the Girls future Fire fighter camp in newington CT. Not only did these two ladies honor our fire department but they also had the opportunity to show that women can pursue a dream in firefighting. This week long class is focused around giving young women the courage to start a career in firefighting. We would like to thank Shelly Carter for starting this amazing camp to give these young ladies a week long experience in the fire service field.

We can’t say enough about how dedicated our junior firefighters are. Eden Ohmen just graduated a week long camp at the CT fire academy on Saturday and woke up Monday morning to get right into another fire camp. We also were able to send our other dedicated junior firefighter Ella Emberlin. These young ladies are the future of the fire service and on behalf of the Lakeville hose company we want to give these 2 young junior fire fighters a huge round of applause.

We want to say congratulations to our junior cadets Eden Ohmen,Skyler Ohmen and Eli Tuthill for completing their week long fire class at the Connecticut state fire academy. We also want to say thank you to all the families who support them through their journey. Also we would like to extend our thanks to our mutual aid department Falls Village Volunteer Fire Department for taking the time to congratulate our junior cadets. We want to send our congratulations to falls village’s junior cadet Tanner spear for his effort and completion of the program as well. Great job to all.

Good evening,

Lakeville and Salisbury were in a path of a very powerful storm this evening. The town was inundated with trees and wires that came down. Most roads are impassable along with a massive power outage. The fire/ems crews along with the town and state dot workers are trying there best to serve the community. Please keep
In mind the town might be without power for an extended period of time. Also please be patient with our first responders/dot workers as they are trying to get to everyone in need.

Route 112 from salmonkill road to route 41/112 at hotchkiss four corners will be closed due to a motor vehicle accident for an extended period of time. There are road closed signs in place.
