With the upcoming winter storm, travel will likely be impacted on significant levels.

🟧Moderate snowfall over Saturday and Sunday will lead to slick conditions across all of northern Indiana. Expect usual, slippery winter driving conditions.

🟥High impact zone has been placed along and south of I-70 as higher snowfall totals and rates are expected. Plow crews will likely have a harder time keeping up leading to treacherous travel conditions. Travel is not advised through Saturday night into Sunday.

🟪Major impacts are placed for areas south of Bloomington. This is where the heaviest snowfall accumulations and rates are expected. Areas may top 1 foot of snow with this system. Plow crews will likely not keep up, and some roads may be impassable as a result. If you can, plan to stay off the roads completely starting Saturday afternoon and continuing through Monday morning.

Our first call snowfall totals map is planned for release this afternoon. Stay tuned for that.

Since we are a day out from a post-Thanksgiving winter storm impacting the region, confidence is increasing in widespread snow and travel impacts. Adjust or postpone travel plans if needed and be sure to check for the latest forecast information on our website at weather.gov/iwx.

This is not the post we wanted to make today. As most of you know, we have faced many setbacks with this restaurant. It has been on the market for some time now.
However, we make frequent stops and check in with the property often. Today we stopped to find it ransacked. Thousands of dollars of personal property was stolen between Sunday evening and Tuesday morning. The thieves managed to take over 15 televisions and thousands of dollars of sports memorabilia. They also cut and removed copper wire from our panels. The police have managed to get finger prints and surveillance video is being reviewed. We are offering a $1000 reward for information leading to the recovery of the stolen property, and the arrest and conviction of THOSE (yes, those this was definitely a multiple person operation) who committed this theft. We are working with the Saint Joseph County Police Department, if you have any information at all, please call and report it.

🍲 Warm up with Chili and Apple Cider (free-will donation), or grab a Hot Dog, Hot Chocolate, or Coffee out in the park lot! ☕🌭
