At Rosemount High School, Ms. Kanitz was an incredibly committed and inspirational advisor for the Environmental Science Club. I have been in the Club as a member and leader, and through it all, Ms. Kanitz has empowered students. Ms. Kanitz helped me step into the frontlines of environmental change, such as when she provided the club the opportunity to lobby at the Capitol—an experience I will never forget. When I created a prom dress drive and it wasn’t as successful as I had hoped, she reminded me to keep my head up. When we did a clean up around the school for Earth day, she threw on gloves and filled up bags alongside us. Because of her outstanding involvement and support as an advisor, I support Ms. Kanitz for DFL Vice Chair and believe she would go above and beyond in the role.

I met Veda Kanitz last year when she was running for HD57A. I was instantly impressed with her leadership, drive, and organizing skills as well as her positive can-do spirit! I was thrilled to learn she has stepped up to run for Minnesota DFL Party First Vice-Chair. Because she is a person who would bring so much excellence to whatever she does, Veda has my enthusiastic support!
