The Lakeville Public Library is very excited to present local bestselling author Annie Hartnett on Tuesday, June 2 at 6:30pm to talk about her latest novel, "The Road to Tender Hearts" whose story begins in a small town in the "armpit of Massachusetts". Though "Pondville" is a fictional name, local readers will recognize this place right away.

Combining humor and tragedy, this story follows a dysfunctional blended family (and one clairvoyant cat) on a chaotic cross-country road trip. Annie’s book is “a beautiful reminder that the world is full of tragedy, but life-changing joy and connection might be just around the corner.”—Kirkus Reviews, starred review

Annie is also the author of two other books: Unlikely Animals (2022) and Rabbit Cake (2017). She lives locally with her family and rescue dogs.

This event is free and open to the public.
