We made trees of life with buttons! This is the second time we've done this craft, and our residents got even more creative than last time. We had some use shells, only certain button colors, only a few buttons here and there, and one used gems instead. We printed beautifully intricate trees for them to glue their items on. Some colored the tree and some left it black and white. But however they made their tree, they all turned out so well! Scroll through to see their work! 🌴🌳🌲

We had another nail day! To celebrate Mother's Day last month, H2O - Help To Others came and painted residents' nails and crafted again. This time our residents made paper flowers out of construction paper after they had their nails done. We always love hosting events like this because our residents absolutely love them and enjoy learning about these students. We can't wait to bring them back soon for more fun!

We painted clay pots and cones to make gnomes! To start this craft, we had our residents paint their terra cotta pot as the gnome's body and beard, and then a wooden cone as their hat. And once everything was dried, we added the hat to the bottom of the pot and added a wooden bead as the gnome's nose. Scroll through to see how creative our residents got!

We made mola art! While this craft is usually done with different shapes of paper, we simplified it by using acrylic paint markers, paint, and watercolors to create these pieces of art. Another word for this type of artwork is pointillism, where you add tiny dots of color in layers. Some residents tried these new types of artwork, and some painted their pictures, but the result was the same: they were all beautiful! Scroll through to see their creations!

We recently hosted Just a Numb3r Dance Crew as they performed their Spring setlist! We love hosting this dance crew as they really brighten our residents' days and provides them with a kind of entertainment we don't usually offer. They played some great music and danced their hearts out and it was so fun to watch. Thank you so much for your performance, and we can't wait to have you all back soon!
