🎒 Back to school means back to Scouting! ⚜️

As families settle into new school-year routines, it’s also a great time to get ready for another year of Scouting adventures.

A few quick things to put on your back-to-Scouting checklist:

📅 Get your pack’s meetings and activities on the family calendar
👕 Check that uniforms still fit after that summer growth spurt
📋 Make sure your Annual Health and Medical Record is up to date
⚖️ Find a healthy balance — it’s OK when Scouts have other activities, too
🙋 Ask your pack leaders where you can lend a hand
👫 And bring a friend along for the adventure!

Most importantly: have fun. You don’t have to do everything to have a great Scouting year.

Wanted to share an update about this.
We weren’t able to commit to the pricing being that it was going to be party reservation style rather than a day of discounted prices.
However! Just because council couldn’t get the big party reservations, doesn’t mean your unit can do it. They still give the same discount to all units who want to host a party. Bring your tax exempt # and be prepared to put a 50% deposit and your unit can have a fun outing.

We were able to host a booth at the APS Back-to-school Bash. Something we have done for a while thanks to Pack 255.
Huge shout out to Zohra, and volunteers from Pack 255 the booth had so much energy and the youth LOVED our magnet fishing we had set up.

Summer is the perfect time to create a masterpiece of an adventure, but as Scouts, we want to make sure the only thing we leave behind is a great impression. Whether your unit is painting a path up a peak or taking a casual nature walk, these Leave No Trace principles are our ultimate trail guide to keeping Colorado beautiful.

Check out these 7 easy ways your unit can lead the way:
✅ Plan ahead and prepare for the weather and terrain.
✅ Stick to the trails: travel on durable surfaces.
✅ Pack it in, pack it out! Dispose of waste properly.
✅ Leave what you find (take pictures, not souvenirs!).
✅ Minimize campfire impacts: use a stove when possible.
✅ Respect wildlife by keeping a safe distance.
✅ Be considerate of other visitors.
