Saturday, May 2nd was a very busy day for our teammates covering multiple special events throughout Denver, Boulder & Morrison, Colorado!

63 of our EMTs, AEMTs and Paramedics were on-hand in various capacities for two different university commencements & graduation ceremonies, a huge super-moto cross event, ladies Soccer, Ladies Lacrosse, a heavy metal concert (complete with mosh pit & crowd-surfing!), two country music venues AND a dance competition, a derby party and medical coverage for a nationally known live pod-cast presentation.

15 of our ambulances and our EMS bike team were positioned to support these events. As usual, our dispatchers created order out of chaos and kept the wheels on the bus.

All of this while our regularly scheduled IFT and 911 teammates seamlessly cared for their patients and took care of business as usual.

What an incredible job! So proud of our peeps! ❤️

Let us introduce you to some of our back half dispatch teammates;
Jen, McKenzie, Jess, Brianna & Gage.

All 4 dispatch kiosks AND the dispatch supervisor’s office teeming with activity all day long! This strong group of communications professionals work together as our “air traffic control”- organizing the chaos and keeping things running smoothly.

Say hello to our front half/ daytime dispatchers!

Today is the start of National 911 Tele-Communicator’s Week!

Thousands of critical interactions occur each week in our dispatch center between phone calls, radio transmissions and emails as our communication specialists manage the constant movement of 30 mobile resources and hundreds of EMS personnel. Certainly not a job for the faint at heart!

Much LOVE to Jordyn, Angie, Aalyaih, Missy & Gage! ❤️

Imagine, you are just moving through your day. It’s a day like any other. You’ve made plans and you’re going about your business when suddenly, you’re involved in a serious crash. You’ve sustained many injuries- so significant that when you start adding them up, they’re incompatible with life. You’re losing blood and you can’t breathe….Your last conscious thoughts are fading to grey…

Then, a fast acting paramedic, her partner and a team of firefighters show up and start working against time. All movements choreographed and culminating with a surgical cut to your throat, so that you can breathe once again…

When an opportunity to save a life presents itself, it requires teamwork, courage, confidence, proficiency and a steady hand under tremendous stress.

Sonnet Dryden, surrounded by her team, took the necessary actions under difficult circumstances and saved a life that was almost lost. For that, we offer our admiration and respect.
