We have a chance of some severe weather late tonight into early morning. Main threat is hail and some tornado chances. Make sure your phones are charged and you are able to get alerts multiple ways!

Isolated storms will form across eastern Kansas and western Missouri this evening before becoming more widespread across central Missouri and the eastern Ozarks overnight. A few of these storms could be strong to severe, capable of producing large hail and damaging winds.

Barton County folks, let's stay alert overnight the next couple nights. Have a couple of ways to wake you up for warnings. There is a chance the next couple of days. Parts of this system could produce all forms of dangerous weather. We will keep you posted as often as we can.

Monday and Tuesday mornings will both see chances for strong to severe storms, with damaging winds being the primary severe hazard both days.

We have a risk of some Thunderstorms again Tomorrow (Thursday 5-14).

Also, just to keep everyone aware, the weather service will be in town giving a class for some of our dispatchers as well as surrounding counties. This is just one way we are training our staff to keep the county safe during weather events.

There is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) for isolated strong to severe storms across central Missouri and eastern Kansas Thursday evening. Hail up to the size of quarters will be the primary hazard.

We will have a slight Risk of Strong Thunderstorms on Tuesday Evening. Mostly Along and NORTH of I-44

There is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) for isolated strong to severe storms Tuesday evening. The greatest risk will be along and north of the I-44 corridor.

Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing hail to the size of quarters and damaging winds up to 60 mph are possible Friday afternoon and evening. Remain weather aware if you have any outdoors plans.

There is a conditional risk for severe weather this afternoon and evening between 3 PM and 8 PM. Hail up to the size of ping pong balls will be the primary hazard, with a low risk for wind gusts to 60 mph and a brief tornado.

Today's Weather - It really looks like the biggest threat is south of I-44 but we will probably get some good ol' spring thunderstorms. Stay safe and watch the sky!

A Slight (2 of 5) to Enhanced (3 of 5) Risk for severe thunderstorms exists along and south of I-44 for today. Storms could occur as early as 10 AM to 12 PM, and last until late evening. The main hazards will be large hail up to the size of golf balls to tennis balls, but a tornado cannot be ruled out after 3 PM.
