September is !
Harry Truman loved playing the piano, he even thought he might be a piano player for a living if he weren’t a politician.
Growing up he took piano lessons in Independence with Miss Burrus and eventually in Kansas City with Mrs. White. Mrs. White was a gifted teacher who studied under Theodore Leschetizky, the teacher of Paderewski. In between his lessons, he practiced two hours every day, even waking up at 5:00 am to practice before school. He continued to play piano for the rest of his life.
