It might look a little messy right now, but it’s progress!! Our parking spaces around Shoff Field were just too short! With big vehicles parking around there during games and tournaments, it narrowed the road (which will soon be named Tiger Drive) quite a bit, making visibility difficult and creating a dangerous situation for drivers and pedestrians! Now parking barriers will be moved in several feet and parking spaces redrawn. A HUGE thank you to the electric department for using their skid steer to remove the barriers, lengthen the parking area, add asphalt millings and roll them to compact. We will do some more asphalt work and add new lines & signage this fall to be all ready for High School Baseball in the spring!!

A couple days ago Abbie from AOK Youth called and asked if we had any volunteer work for about 20 kids to do for an hour this week. We always have weeds that need pulled in flower beds, so sure! Abbie, Emma and Ashlynn brought 21 kids and they worked so hard for an hour they pulled an entire Gator load of weeds!! We couldn’t be more thankful to them and to the staff at AOK for showing them that they can volunteer at any age!!
